Balto (Family: High Cognitive)

Balto tells the incredible true story of a heroic sled dog whose courage, determination, and sharp instincts saved an entire town from a deadly diphtheria outbreak in 1925. Spellers follow Balto and his team across treacherous Alaskan terrain, facing life-threatening storms, frozen rivers, and towering mountains. The lesson highlights teamwork, endurance, and leadership, while connecting history, geography, and math through real-life challenges.
